Jane Laidlaw | Psychotherapy and Counselling | Edinburgh

I have worked in various health and social care roles for over 25 years with a particular interest in mental health and wellbeing.  I am interested in how our past and our present impacts on how we feel, behave and interact in all areas of our lives.

I am endlessly curious about people, how we feel and think about ourselves and our lives. I have always enjoyed working closely with individuals who want to make changes and think about issues that are impacting on them.

I have experience of working with both young people and adults experiencing a wide range of issues and difficulties including anxiety, stress, grief, post-natal depression, workplace issues, relationship problems and many other life issues.

I am fully qualified, insured and registered with the appropriate professional bodies as detailed here:

I have taken a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Wellbeing, Counselling and Psychotherapy (with Distinction) – University of Aberdeen & Persona Development and Training.

I am a Registered Member (MBACP 374432) of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am bound by their Ethical Framework.

I hold Professional Protection and Public Liability Insurance with the Psychologist Protection Society Trust.

When life is challenging and situations feel unmanageable it can be useful to take a step back and talk to a professional to make sense of how you feel and what is happening.  If you would like to contact me please email or phone.
